How to Make a Paper Plate Christmas Wreath with a Photo

What You Need:

  • 2 Paper Plates
  • Kids Craft Glue
  • Poster Paint in Christmas colours
  • Glittery poms poms
  • Multi-coloured pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Photograph
  • Magnetic Tape

  •  Step 1

On one paper plate, trace around your photograph and carefully cut out this section.

  • Step 2

Place newspaper on the work space. Have your child decorate the paper plate in Christmas colours. They can glue on stars, glitter, pom poms, pipe cleaners, buttons or whatever else you have available! This part is entirely up to you and your child.

  • Step 3

While the decorated paper plate is drying, attach the photograph to the second paper plate. Plaster the surrounding edge with the craft glue.

Carefully attach decorated paper plate to the second paper plate that has the photo on it. Be sure to make sure the photo is lined up properly.

Add some magnetic tape to the back of the paper plate Christmas wreath. If you don’t have any magnetic tape, glue an old promotional magnet (or 2) on the back. You know the ones – from the mechanic, dentist or even your local green grocer!

Alternatively, you may like to punch two holes at the top and attach some twine for hanging.
